Introduction
Withthedevelopmentofglobalization,Englishplaysanincreasinglyimportantroleinhighereducation.DoctoralEnglishcoursesusuallyhavegreatimportancetothestudentsastheybringopportunitiestoimproveacademicandresearchabilitiesandobtaininternationalcommunicationskills.However,traditionallecture-basedteachingmode,whichlacksinteractionbetweentheteacherandstudents,cannotmeettheneedsofthestudents.Therefore,thispaperexplorestheinteractiveclassroommodeindoctoralEnglishcourses,aimingtoenhancethequalityofteachingandlearning.
TheSignificanceofInteractiveClassroomModeinDoctoralEnglishCourses
1.PromoteCriticalThinkingSkills
Theinteractiveclassroommodeprovidesaspaceforstudentstoexpresstheirownviewpointsandknowledgeandlearnfromothers,whichcandevelopthecriticalthinkingskillsofstudents.Throughdiscussions,studentsareencouragedtoquestionandanalyzeknowledge,andmaketheirownjudgments.
2.EnhanceLearningMotivation
Inthetraditionallecture-basedteachingmode,studentsmayeasilyfallbackorlosemotivation.Incontrast,theinteractiveclassroommodeismoreengagingandinteresting.Byparticipatingindiscussions,studentscanrecognizethatknowledgeisnotonlyimpartedbytheteacherbutalsoacquiredbythem.Thiswillenhancetheirmotivationtolearn.
3.ImproveEnglishCommunicativeCompetence
