Abstract:
Therapiddevelopmentof3Gtechnologyhasdriventheneedforefficientandreliabletestingsystemstoensuretheperformanceofthesenetworks.OnecriticalcomponentofsuchtestingsystemsistheFPGA-basedhigh-speeddatalinkdesign,whichplaysacrucialroleindatatransmissionandanalysis.ThispaperpresentsacomprehensivestudyonthedesignandimplementationoftheFPGA-basedhigh-speeddatalinkinaGMR-13Gtestsystem.Wediscussthekeychallengesandrequirementsofthesystem,proposeanarchitecture,anddetailthedesignprinciplesandtechniquesusedtoachievehigh-speedandlow-latencydatatransmission.ExperimentalresultsverifytheeffectivenessoftheproposeddesignanditssuitabilityforGMR-13Gtestingapplications.
1.Introduction
3Gnetworks,suchastheGMR-1standard,requirethoroughtestingtoensuretheirreliabilityandperformance.Thehigh-speeddatalinkisanessentialcomponentofany3Gtestsystem,responsiblefortransmittingdatabetweenthebasebandprocessingunit(BBPU)andtheField-ProgrammableGateArray(FPGA)module.ThispaperfocusesonthedesignandimplementationoftheFPGA-basedhigh-speeddatalink,addressingitschallengesandrequirements,andproposinganeffectivesolution.
2.ChallengesandRequirements
Thedesignofahigh-speeddatalinkintheGMR-13Gtestsystemmustovercomeseveralchallenges,includinghighdatarates,lowlatency,andreliabletransmissionwithminimalerrors.Additionally,thesystemshouldbescalableandflexibletoaccommodatefutureupgradesandmodifications.Tomeetthesechallenges,wedefinethekeyrequirementsforthedatalink,suchashighbandwidth,lowpowerconsumption,andsupportfordifferentdatatypesandprotocols.
3.ArchitectureDesign
Theproposedarchitectureforthehigh-speeddatalinkintheGMR-13Gtestsystemconsistsofatransmitterandareceivermodule,connectedthroughareliableandefficientcommunicationmedium.ThetransmittermodulereceivesdatafromtheBBPUandconvertsitintoabitstreamformatfortransmission.Thereceivermodulereceivesthebitstream,performserrorcheckingandcorrection,andtransfersthedatatotheFPG
