Abstract:
Graduatemanagementsystems(GMS)arecrucialtoolsforuniversitiesandeducationalinstitutionstostreamlineadministrativeprocessesandenhancetheoveralllearningexperienceforstudents.However,withtheincreasingcomplexityanddiversityofstudentneeds,itisessentialtoincorporatepersonalizationmodulesintoGMStocatertoindividualrequirements.ThispaperaimstodesignandimplementapersonalizationmoduleinaGMStoimproveuserexperienceandensurestudentsuccess.Themoduleincludesfeaturessuchascustomizabledashboards,personalizednotifications,andindividualizedcourserecommendations.
Introduction:
Withtheadventoftechnology,educationalinstitutionshaveembracedtheuseofdigitalplatformsformanagingvariousadministrativetasks.Graduatemanagementsystems(GMS)areonesuchdigitalplatformthatenablesefficienthandlingofstudentenrollment,courseregistration,academicrecords,andotheradministrativetasks.However,genericGMSsystemsoftenfailtomeetthediverseneedsandpreferencesofindividualstudents.Therefore,theintegrationofapersonalizationmodulewithintheGMSbecomesessentialtoenhanceuserexperienceandpromotestudentsuccess.
DesignandImplementationofPersonalizationModule:
1.UserProfileCustomization:
Thepersonalizationmoduleshouldallowstudentstocustomizetheiruserprofilesaccordingtotheirpreferences.Thisincludesselectingpreferreddisplaylayouts,colorschemes,andlanguageoptions.Additionally,studentsshouldbeabletocustomizetheinformationdisplayedontheirdashboards(e.g.,upcomingdeadlines,courseprogress,etc.)forquickaccess.
2.PersonalizedNotifications:
Themoduleshouldprovideanoptionforstudentstopersonalizetheirnotificationpreferences.Studentscanchoosetoreceivenotificationsviaemail,SMS,orwithintheGMSitself.Furthermore,notificationscanbetailoredbasedonthestudent'sspecificinterests,suchasannouncementsaboutscholarships,researchopportunities,ordeadlinesforsubmittingassignments.
