“赛玉铃”杂交杜鹃新品系代表种与双亲花粉微观结构研究 【Abstract】Seayuyunisahybridazaleacultivar,whichwasbredbycrossingtwodifferentspeciesofazalea.Inthisstudy,weanalyzedthemicrostructureoftheparentalspeciesandtheresultinghybridthroughmicroscopicexaminationoftheirpollengrains.Ourresultsshowthatthereweresignificantdifferencesinthesizesandshapesofthepollengrainsbetweenthetwoparents.Furthermore,thehybridhadsignificantlysmallerpollengrainsthaneitherparent,suggestingthatitinheritedatraitforreducedpollensize.Overall,ourstudyprovidesimportantinsightsintotheunderlyingmechanismsofhybridizationandtheinheritanceofspecifictraitsinhybridplants. 【Introduction】 Azaleasareapopularornamentalplant,knownfortheirshowyandbrightlycoloredblooms.Therearemanydifferentspeciesofazaleas,andtheycanbecrossbredtoproducenewanduniquecultivarswithdesirabletraits,suchasdiseaseresistance,tolerancetospecificenvironmentalconditions,andimprovedflowercolorsandshapes.OnesuchcultivarisSeayuyun,whichwasdevelopedbycrossingtwospeciesofazaleas,RhododendronsimsiiandRhododendronindicum. Inthisstudy,wesoughttogainabetterunderstandingofthemicrostructureoftheparentalspeciesandtheresultinghybrid,withaparticularfocusonthesizeandshapeoftheirpollengrains.Previousresearchhassuggestedthatthesizeandshapeofpollengrainscanplayanimportantroleinthesuccessofhybridizationandtheinheritanceofspecifictraitsinhybridplants.Therefore,byexaminingthepollengrainsofSeayuyunanditsparentalspecies,wehopedtoshedlightontheunderlyingmechanismsofhybridizationandtheinheritanceoftraitsinhybridplants. 【MaterialsandMethods】 Toconductthisstudy,wecollectedpollengrainsfromthetwoparentalspeciesofSeayuyun,RhododendronsimsiiandRhododendronindicum,aswellasfromthehybridcultivaritself.Weusedlightmicroscopytoexaminethesizeandshapeofthepollengrains,andwecomparedthesecharacteristicsbetweenthetwoparentsandthehybrid.Wealsousedscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)toexaminethesurfacestructureofthepollengrains,inordertogainamoredetailedunderstandingoftheirmicrostructure. 【Results】 Ourresultsshowedtha
