Introduction:
Englishlanguageproficiencyiscrucialforvocationalschoolstudentsastheypreparefortheirfuturecareers.Vocabularylearningformsanintegralpartoflanguagelearning,enablingstudentstoeffectivelycommunicateinvariousprofessionalsettings.Thisresearchaimstoinvestigatethecurrentvocabularylearningstrategiesemployedbyvocationalschoolstudents,withafocusonaspecificvocationalschoolinChuzhou.Thefindingswillguideeducatorsinimplementingeffectivevocabularylearningstrategiestailoredtotheneedsofthesestudents.
Methodology:
1.Survey:Aquestionnairewillbedistributedtostudentstogatherinformationontheirdemographics,Englishproficiency,andcurrentvocabularylearningstrategies.ThesurveywillutilizeLikertscaleandopen-endedquestionstoallowforbothquantitativeandqualitativeanalysis.
2.Interviews:Followingthesurvey,aselectgroupofstudentswillbeinterviewedtogainadeeperunderstandingoftheirvocabularylearningexperiencesandstrategies.Thisqualitativedatawillhelptovalidateandexpanduponthefindingsofthesurvey.
3.Observations:Classroomobservationswillbeconductedtoobservethevocabularylearningactivities,teachingmethods,andstudentengagement.Thiswillprovideadditionalinsightsintothelearningenvironmentanditsimpactonvocabularyacquisition.
ResultsandDiscussion:
1.VocabularyLearningStrategies:Thesurveydatawillrevealthemostcommonlyusedvocabularylearningstrategiesamongvocationalschoolstudents.Thismayincludetechniquessuchasusingflashcards,context-basedlearning,andutilizingtechnologyresources.
2.ChallengesandMotivations:Students'responsestoopen-endedquestionsinthesurveyandinterviewswillshedlightonthechallengestheyfaceinvocabularylearning,suchasmemorizationdifficultiesorlackofexposuretoEnglishoutsidetheclassroom.Additionally,theirmotivationsforlearningEnglishvocabularywillbeexplored.
3.ImpactofTeachingMethodologies:Classroomobservationswillhelptoevaluatetheeffectivenessofexisti
