Abstract:
EnglishasaLinguaFranca(ELF)hasgainedsignificantattentioninthefieldoftranslationstudiesduetoitsprevalenceinglobalcommunication.ThisstudyaimstoexploretheELFfeaturesinbusinesstranslationandexaminehowtheculturalidentityofthetranslatorinfluencesthetranslationprocess.Throughananalysisofvariousbusinesstextsandtheexaminationofthetranslator'sculturalbackground,thisresearchattemptstoshedlightonthecomplexityandsignificanceoftranslatingbusinesstextsinthecontextofELF.
Introduction:
Englishhasbecomethedominantlanguageinglobalbusinesscommunication,withEnglishasaLinguaFranca(ELF)servingastheprimarymeansofcommunicationbetweenindividualsfromdifferentlinguisticandculturalbackgrounds.Businesstranslationplaysacrucialroleinfacilitatingcross-culturalexchange,ofteninvolvingthetransferofcomplexideasandspecializedterminology.Inthiscontext,thetranslator'sculturalidentityandtheirproficiencyinELFplayacriticalroleinensuringsuccessfulandculturallyappropriatetranslations.
ELFFeaturesinBusinessTranslation:
