Abstract:
Vocabularyenrichmentplaysacrucialroleinlanguagelearningandproficiency,especiallyforEnglishmajorstudentswhoneedtoattainahighleveloflanguagecompetence.Thepresentstudyaimstoinvestigatethevocabularyrichnessandtheimpactofcorpus-basedlanguagelearningonEnglishmajorstudents.Throughtheexplorationofexistingliteratureandanalysisofrelevantempiricalstudies,thispaperprovidesinsightsintotheeffectivenessandsignificanceofusingacorpusinvocabularylearning.Moreover,thestudyproposespracticalstrategiestoenhancevocabularyrichnessandimprovelanguageproficiencyforEnglishmajorstudentsbasedoncorpus-basedapproaches.
Introduction:
Theimportanceofvocabularyknowledgecannotbeoverstatedinsecondlanguageacquisition.ForEnglishmajorstudents,theirfuturecareersheavilyrelyontheirEnglishproficiency,makingvocabularyenrichmentanessentialaspectoftheireducation.Traditionallanguagelearningmethodsoftenfailtoprovidelearnerswithsufficientexposuretoauthenticandcontextualizedlanguagesamples.Therefore,incorporatingcorpus-basedapproachescanofferaviablesolutiontoenhancevocabularyrichnessamongEnglishmajorstudents.
