1.Introduction
1.1Background
WiththecontinuousdevelopmentofChina'sruraleducation,thequalityofEnglishteachinginruralareas,particularlyinjuniorhighschools,hasbecomeasignificantconcern.Englishreadingisafundamentalskillthatplaysanessentialroleinlanguageacquisition.However,manystudentsinruralareasfaceobstaclesinEnglishreadingduetoalackofmotivationandemotionalengagement.Therefore,itiscrucialtoexploreeffectiveemotionalstrategiestoaddressthesechallengesandpromotestudents'Englishreadingabilities.

ThemainobjectiveofthisstudyistoinvestigateandproposeeffectiveemotionalstrategiesforEnglishreadingteachinginruraljuniorhighschoolsinWujiang.Throughtheimplementationofthesestrategies,weaimtoenhancestudents'motivation,comprehension,andoverallperformanceinEnglishreading.
