Abstract:
Thispaperpresentsastudyonthepreparationoffoamceramicporousinsulationmaterialusinggranitesawdust.Withthegrowingdemandforenergy-efficientandsustainablebuildingmaterials,thereisaneedforinnovativesolutionsthatcanprovideeffectivethermalinsulation.Thisresearchaimstoexplorethepossibilityofutilizinggranitesawdust,awastematerialfromthegraniteindustry,asarawmaterialfortheproductionoffoamceramicinsulationmaterial.Thepaperdiscussesthecharacterization,processing,andoptimizationofthefoamceramicmaterial.Theresultsshowthatfoamceramicporousinsulationmaterialpreparedfromgranitesawdustexhibitsgoodthermalinsulationpropertiesandhasthepotentialtobeusedasanenvironmentallyfriendlysubstitutefortraditionalinsulationmaterials.
1.Introduction
Theglobaldemandforenergy-efficientbuildingmaterialshasdriventhedevelopmentofnewinsulationmaterialsthatoffereffectivethermalinsulationwhileminimizingenvironmentalimpact.Traditionalinsulationmaterials,suchasmineralwoolandexpandedpolystyrene,haveshortcomingsintermsofenergyconsumptionandwasteproduction.Foamceramicporousinsulationmaterialhasemergedasapromisingalternativeduetoitslowthermalconductivity,highporosity,andexcellentmechanicalproperties.Inthisresearch,thefocusisonusinggranitesawdust,abyproductofthegraniteindustry,tosynthesizefoamceramicporousinsulationmaterial.
2.ExperimentalProcedure
2.1MaterialCharacterization:Thephysicalandchemicalpropertiesofgranitesawdustareanalyzedtodetermineitssuitabilityasarawmaterialforfoamceramicmaterialproduction.Particlesizedistribution,moisturecontent,andchemicalcompositionareevaluated.
2.2FoamCeramicPreparation:Thefoamceramicmaterialispreparedbymixinggranitesawdustwithotheradditivessuchasclay,pore-formingagents,andfoamingagents.Themixtureisthenshapedintothedesiredformandfiredatahightemperaturetoachievefoamceramicstructure.
