Abstract:
Graphenehasexcellentelectricalconductivity,highmechanicalstrength,andgoodthermalconductivity,makingitanidealmaterialforenergyconversionandstoragedevices.Inthispaper,weintroducetheconceptofregionallyfunctionalizedgraphenefibers(RFGFs)andtheirpotentialapplicationinintegratedenergyconversionandstoragedevices.TheRFGFscanbemodifiedinspecificregionswithdifferentfunctionalgroups,whichcanbeusedforcatalyticreactions,hydrogenstorage,andotherenergy-relatedapplications.WealsodiscussthefabricationmethodsandcharacterizationtechniquesofRFGFsandthechallengesandopportunitiesinthedevelopmentofintegratedenergydevicesbasedonRFGFs.
Introduction:
Astheworld'sdemandforenergycontinuestogrow,thedevelopmentofefficientandsustainableenergyconversionandstoragedeviceshasbecomeincreasinglyimportant.Grapheneisapromisingmaterialforenergyapplicationsduetoitsuniqueelectronic,mechanical,andthermalproperties.However,thewidespreadapplicationofgrapheneinenergydevicesisstillhinderedbythelimitationsofitssingle-functionalcharacteristic.Theregionallyfunctionalizedgraphenefibers(RFGFs)canaddresstheselimitationsbymodifyingthegraphenefiberinspecificregionswithdifferentfunctionalgroups,therebyenhancingitsenergyconversionandstorageperformance.Inthispaper,wewilldiscussthepotentialofRFGFsindevelopingintegratedenergyconversionandstoragedevicesandthetechnicalchallengesthatneedtobeovercome.
FabricationofRFGFs:
ThefabricationofRFGFsinvolvesaseriesofprocesses,includingthesynthesisofgraphenefibers,functionalizationofspecificregions,andintegrationofthefunctionalizedgraphenefibersintodevicestructures.Graphenefiberscanbesynthesizedbyvariousmethods,suchaschemicalvapordeposition,electrospinning,andwetspinning.Electrospinninghasbeenwidelyusedtosynthesizegraphenefibersduetoitssimpleandscalableprocess,highyield,andlowcost.
