Introduction:
Hydrogeologicalmapsplayacrucialroleinunderstandingthepropertiesandcharacteristicsofgroundwaterresources.Thesemapsprovideessentialinformationregardingthespatialdistributionofaquifers,rechargeareas,welllocations,groundwaterflowpaths,andotherrelevanthydrogeologicalfeatures.However,effectivelyvisualizingandanalyzingthecomplexdatapresentinhydrogeologicalmapscanbechallenging.Inrecentyears,thedevelopmentofspecializedsoftwaretoolsandpluginshasgreatlyfacilitatedtheinterpretationandexplorationofhydrogeologicalinformation.ThispaperfocusesontheapplicationoftheCrossViewpluginasaneffectivetoolinthevisualizationofhydrogeologicalmaps.
1.OverviewoftheCrossViewPlugin:
TheCrossViewpluginisawidelyusedsoftwaretooldevelopedforthevisualizationandanalysisofgeologicalmaps.Originatingfromthefieldofstructuralgeology,thepluginhasfoundsuccessfulapplicationsinhydrogeologyaswell.Bycombininginformationfromdifferentmaplayersandprovidingvariousvisualizationtechniques,thepluginenhancestheunderstandingofgeologicalandhydrogeologicalfeatures.CrossViewoffersseveralcapabilities,includinginteractiveslicing,cross-sectionconstruction,3Dvisualization,andtheintegrationofGISdata.
