Quantumcomputationisarapidlydevelopingfieldwiththepotentialtorevolutionizethewayweprocessinformation.Inordertoharnessthepowerofquantumcomputing,researchershavebeenexploringvariousmethodstoconstructquantumgates,whicharethebuildingblocksofquantumcircuits.Thispaperinvestigatestheapplicationsofgeometryandtopologyinthedesignandimplementationofquantumgates.Itbeginswithanintroductiontothebasicconceptsofquantumcomputing,followedbyanoverviewoftheimportanceofquantumgates.Thepaperthenexploreshowgeometryandtopologycanbeutilizedtoconstructquantumgates,specificallyfocusingontheroleofqubitentanglement,braidingoperations,andtopologicalinvariants.Finally,itdiscussespotentialapplicationsandfuturedirectionsofresearchinthisfield.
