AbstractWritingContentWhatisanabstract?Note:TheImportanceofanAbstractMaincharacteristicsMainTypesofAbstractsDescriptive/indicativeAbstractsExample1Example2InformativeAbstractsExample1Example2Whattypeofabstractisthis?PASM:ApartitionableSIMD/MIMDSystemforImageProcessingandPatternRecognitionWhattypeofabstractisthis?ExampleQualitiesofanEffectiveAbstractThispaperpresentsthedevelopmentofactivatedcarbons(ACs)fora4.5KsorptioncoolerforESA´sDarwinmission.Asorptioncoolerhastwoparts:(i)coldstage;(ii)sorptioncompressor.ACsareveryinterestingcandidatesforsorptioncompressorsbecauselargeamountsofgascanbeadsorbedreversibly.Inthepresentpaper,ACswithdifferentsurfacearea,microporesizedistributionandpackingdensitywerepreparedfromananthraciteandbituminouscoals.ThedevelopmentofporositywascarriedoutbydifferentactivationmethodsusingKOH,NaOHandCO2asactivatingagents.SomeACswereagglomeratedusingdifferentbinderstoprepareactivatedcarbonmonoliths(ACMs).InordertopredicttheperformanceofthesematerialsinHeliumsorptioncompressors,Heliumadsorptionisothermsweremeasuredupto35barinacryogenicvolumetriccharacterizationset-up,atdifferenttemperatures(from20Kupto150K).Moreover,othermeasurementswerecarriedout,includingpackingdensity,mechanicalproperties(compressionstrength,vibrationtests),thermalexpansionandalsopressure-dropmeasurements.Fromtheresultsobtainedinthisstudy,anACMwithahighheliumadsorption/desorptioncapacity,highdensity,lowpressuredrop,lowthermalexpansionandgoodmechanicalpropertieswaspreparedandappliedsuccessfullyina4.5Ksorptioncooler.(195words)Aquifertestingofconfinedaquifershasbeenusedformanyyearstoaidwiththedeterminationofthekeyaquiferparameters,includingtransmissivity,storativity,andleakance.Amyriadofpublishedmethodologieshavebeenpreviouslydeveloped.Someofthesesolutionshaveledtothedevelopmentofexpensive,proprietarysoftware.Othersrequiredevelopmentofcomplexnumericalmodels,whilestillothersrequirecomplexcalculususinginverseLaplacetransformsornumericalinversion.Twocommonaquifertestingproblemsarethedet
