第一篇：艾玛演讲稿Thankyouallforbeinghereforthisimportantmoment.Thesemenfromallovertheworldhavedecidedtomakegenderequalityapriorityintheirlivesandintheiruniversities.Thankyouformakingthiscommitment.Igraduatedfromuniversityfouryearsago.Ihadalwaysdreamedofgoing,andIknowhowfortunateIamtohavehadtheopportunitytodoso.Brownbecamemyhome,mycommunity,andItooktheideasandtheexperiencesIhadthereintoallofmysocialinteractions,intomyworkplace,intomypolitics,intoallaspectsofmylife.IknowthatmyuniversityexperienceshapedwhoIam.Andofcourseitdoesformanypeople.Butwhatifourexperienceinuniversityshowsusthatwomendon'tbelonginleadership?Whatifitshowsusthat,yes,womencanstudy,buttheyshouldn'tleadaseminar?Whatif,asstillinmanyplacesaroundtheworld,ittellsusthatwomendon'tbelongthereatall?Whatif,asisthecaseinfartoomanyuniversities,wearegiventhemessagethatsexualviolenceisn'tactuallyaformofviolence?But,weknowthatifyouchangestudents'experiencessothattheyhavedifferentexpectationsoftheworldaroundthem,expectationsofequality,societywillchange.Asweleavehomeforthefirsttimetostudyattheplacesthatwehaveworkedsohardtoget,wemustnotseeorexperiencedoublestandards.Weneedtoseeequalrespect,leadershipandpay.Theuniversityexperiencemusttellwomenthattheirbrainpowerisvalued,andnotjustthat,butthattheybelongwithintheleadershipoftheuniversityitself.Andsoimportantlyrightnow,theexperiencemustmakeitclear,thatthesafetyofwomen,minorities,andanyonewhomaybevulnerableisaright,notaprivilege.Arightthatwillberespectedbyacommunitythatbelievesandsupportssurvivors,andthatrecognizesthatwhenoneperson'ssafetyisviolated,everyonefeelstheirownsafetyisviolated.Auniversityshouldbeaplaceofrefugethattakesactionagainstallformsofviolence.That'swhywebelievethatstudentsshouldleaveuniversitybelievingin,strivingforandexpectingsocietiesoftrueequality.Societyoftrueequalityineverysense.Anduniversitieshavethepowertobeavitalcatalystforthatchange.Ourtenimpactchampionshavemadethiscommitmentandwiththeirwork,weknowthattheywillinspirestudents,andotheruniversitiesands
