Introduction:
TheMaster'sdegreeinEnglishEducationisavaluableacademicqualificationthatprovidesgraduatestudentswithadvancedknowledgeandskillsinthefieldofEnglishlanguageteaching.Whilemanyfactorscontributetothesuccessofgraduatestudentsinthisprogram,theirmotivationforpursuingaMaster'sdegreeandtheirlevelofengagementinthelearningprocessplayacrucialrole.ThispaperaimstoexplorethecorrelationbetweenthemotivationofstudentsenteringtheEnglishEducationMaster'sprogramandtheirsubsequentleveloflearningengagement.
MotivationforPursuingaMaster'sDegreeinEnglishEducation:
Thereareseveralfactorsthatcancontributetoagraduatestudent'smotivationforpursuingaMaster'sdegreeinEnglishEducation.Thesefactorscanbeintrinsic,suchasapassionforteachingEnglishoradesiretoenhancepersonalknowledgeandskills.Ortheycanbeextrinsic,suchascareeradvancementopportunitiesorsocialrecognition.Researchhasshownthatindividualswhohaveahighlevelofintrinsicmotivationaremorelikelytoengageindeeplearning,developasenseofautonomy,andpersistinthefaceofchallenges.
