Title:ResidueandDissipationDynamicsofOrganophosphorusPesticidesinVegetablesintheChangshaSegmentoftheXiangjiangRiverBasin
Abstract:
Withthewidespreaduseoforganophosphoruspesticides(OPs)inagriculturalpractices,concernshavebeenraisedregardingtheirresidualpresenceanddissipationdynamicsinvegetables.ThisresearchfocusesonstudyingthelevelsanddissipationpatternsofOPresiduesinvegetablesgrownintheChangshasegmentoftheXiangjiangRiverBasin.Acomprehensiveanalysiswasconductedusingdifferentanalyticaltechniquescombinedwithfieldsurveys.
Introduction:
Organophosphoruspesticidesarewidelyusedinagricultureduetotheireffectivenessincontrollingpestinfestations.However,theirpersistenceintheenvironment,potentialhealthrisks,andaccumulationinfoodchainshaveraisedconcernsamongconsumersandregulators.Inthisstudy,weaimedtoinvestigatetheresiduelevelsanddissipationdynamicsofOPsinvegetablesgrownintheChangshasegmentoftheXiangjiangRiverBasin,asthisregionplaysasignificantroleinvegetableproduction.
Methods:
1.Sampling:RepresentativesamplesofcommonlyconsumedvegetableswerecollectedfromdifferentfarmslocatedintheChangshasegmentoftheXiangjiangRiverBasin.
2.AnalyticalTechniques:TheOPresidueswereanalysedusinggaschromatographycoupledwithmassspectrometry(GC-MS)andliquidchromatographycoupledwithtandemmassspectrometry(LC-MS/MS).Themethodwasvalidatedforaccuracy,precision,andsensitivity.
3.DissipationStudies:ThedissipationofOPsindifferentvegetablesampleswasmonitoredoveraspecifictimeperiodatdefinedintervalsusingavalidatedanalyticalmethod.
4.StatisticalAnalysis:Datawasanalyzedstatisticallyusingappropriatemethodstodetermineresiduelevels,detectionfrequencies,anddissipationpatterns.
ResultsandDiscussion:
1.ResidueLevels:TheanalysisofvegetablesamplesrevealedthepresenceofvariousOPresidues.Theconcentrationlevelsvariedaccordingtothetypeofvegetable,withhigherlevelsobservedinleafyvegetablescomparedtorootcrops.
