formed.”Indeed,oncewemakeupourmindstochoosetodosomething,thenourlifebecomes

meaningfulandspecificallyorientated.Thisnotionoflife,asfarasIobserve,isclosesttotruth

anddoesapplytoalmostallaspectsoflife.Firstthingsfirst,ambitionrendersusasenseof

mission.

Nomatterwhatdecisionyoumakeyouhavetoberesponsibleforyourchoice.Yourchoice

procuresyouasenseoforientation,ormorespeciallyasenseofmission.Andonlyastrong

missionmayenableonetoaccomplishgreatness.CaesaroftheancientRomanEmpirewasurged

byhisambition“Icame,Isaw,Iconquered.”andbecameanunrivaledempirebuilderinthe

historyofRome.JohnMilton,stimulatedalwaysbyhisambitionthataimedatwritingsome

“mightylines”whichEnglandwouldunwillinglyforget,hadinduetimesecuredhispositionas

thesecondShakespeareinthehistoryofEnglishliterature.Inthesecondplace,ambitioncanbring

one’spotentialstothefull.Ambitionmaywellserveasacatalystactivatingone’sdormant
