DanielRaimiisafellowatResourcesfortheFuture(RFF)andalecturerattheGerald
R.FordSchoolofPublicPolicyattheUniversityofMichigan.Heworksonarangeof
energypolicyissueswithafocusontoolstoenableanequitableenergytransition.He
haspublishedinacademicjournalsincludingScience,ScienceAdvances,Environmental
ScienceandTechnology,JournalofEconomicPerspectives,ReviewofEnvironmental
EconomicsandPolicy,EnergyResearchandSocialScience,andEnergyPolicy,in

extensivelyinnationalmediaoutletssuchasCNN,NPR’sAllThingsConsidered,
NewYorkTimes,WallStreetJournal,andmanymore.Hehaspresentedhisresearch
forpolicymakers,industry,andotherstakeholdersaroundtheUnitedStatesand
internationally,includingbeforetheUSSenateBudgetCommitteeandtheEnergyand
MineralResourcesSubcommitteeoftheUSHouse’sNaturalResourcesCommittee.
In2017,hepublishedTheFrackingDebate(ColumbiaUniversityPress),abookthat
combinesstoriesfromhistravelstodozensofoil-andgas-producingregionswitha
detailedexaminationofkeypolicyissues.

YuqiZhujoinedRFFasaseniorresearchassociatein2022afterreceivinghismaster’s
degreeinpublicpolicyfromtheHarvardKennedySchool.Priortograduateschool,he
workedincorporatedevelopmentatLibertyMedia,amediaandcommunicationsholding
companyinDenver.

RichardG.NewellisthepresidentandCEOofRFF,anindependentnonprofitresearch
institutionthatimprovesenvironmental,energy,andnaturalresourcedecisionsthrough
impartialeconomicresearchandpolicyengagement.Hehasheldseniorgovernment
appointmentsastheAdministratoroftheUSEnergyInformationAdministrationandas
theSeniorEconomistforenergyandenvironmentonthePresident’sCouncilofEconomic
